Scope & Purpose

The Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) reports directly to the Master and is responsible for standing navigational watch, maintaining lookout, executing helm orders, and safely performing deck operations, including working aloft and maintaining cargo rigging. *$300-$400 per day (depending on experience)


Key Responsibilities

  • Launch and recover lifesaving equipment
  • Stand watch and maintain a vigilant lookout for hazards, vessel traffic, and weather conditions
  • Serve as helmsman as directed by the Officer in Charge of the Watch
  • Assist with inspection and maintenance of navigation and deck equipment
  • Perform anchoring and mooring operations, including handling lines and anchors
  • Organizational Responsibilities
  • All duties must be performed in compliance with CEES production, safety, and quality procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid MMC with Able-Bodied Seaman endorsement
  • Lifeboatman / Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC)
  • TWIC
  • Safegulf / PEC
  • API RP2D Rigging
  • Water Survival
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Incipient Fire Fighting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age: 18
